The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

The author was determined to blame the CCP for bringing death and destruction to the world
The article is well-written; the author must have carried out millions of editing facts and figures he presents in his extraordinary presentation--intended to find the Chinese (CCP) communists guilty as charged.
He's meticulous from start to finish, so that to leave no room for disputing his reasoning. He even presented a case of a man called Bob who killed his wife - did kill his wife - but tried to hide evidence to avoid being culpable for the crime. But in the end he was found culpable and the jury found him guilty as charged because the squad that investigated Bob's case composed of many people, of different level of intelligence or figure-out capability. Bob thought his steps to protect himself were believed by the investigation team - and he was looking forward to be absolved of the crime which he did commit - except for one or two investigatprs (namely: Stefan Molyneux).
It's an open secret, he said, and increasingly less and less secret now, China is ambitious. It wants to rule the world (replaces the US as the world's sole superpower).
To do that the Chinese need to have, for instance, 10 aircraft carriers of similar size and sophistigation to the US ones. A tall order for quite a while (at present China has one carrier (operational carrier) although many more are being constructed, it's believed. So militarily China cannot conquer the world. Not yet at least. But the Middle Kingdom have a few other choices. It can use its economic might or some other equally effective ways as effective as having dozens of aircraft carriers to project its air superiority to every corner of the globe. It can do something like what Western leaders in Europe and even in the UK have long suspected but have not dared to do: openly accuse the Chinese (CCP) of being behind the Covid-19 manufacture and distribution to the world, like this Stefan - so determined to nail China as the evil hand that subject the world to the unimagined chaos and recession and of course human misery never before endured by this world.
If Stefan's hyperthetical combined with current facts - wheteher historical or what he had researced and unearthed - presentation were to be a reality, become true, it be concomitant that the people of the world don't know what has hit them. They will, of course, be left by the Novel Coronavirus in the very near future deeply in debt! And as soon as they are unable to service their loans all their properties or belongings that support their way of life will be confiscated. Even states or their leaders have to grovel at the Chinese (CCP's) feet (and believe or not it has already happened..to Pakistan, Sri lanka, the African continent, and many other countries in South East Asia, to a more or less extent).
By any maths or calculation, China is winning.
Many people, among them Americans, like to kid themselves that they acknowledge that China wants to rule the world with an iron fist one day but they draw comfort from the fact that America can protect them, that America stands in the way of China's rise (way).
But that may be true (but only to a certain extent). But don't forget who is running China now. Secretary-General Xi Yinping of the CCP, who is well-known for brilliance in everything. He's a killer negotiator no matter with whom. The CCP knows he's a genius unsurpassed anywhere. All CCP leaders among who are his rivals admit that China needs the man. The example when President Xi Jinping proved his brilliance was when Billionaire Donald Trump, the producer and star of the Apparentice TV Series who's fond of calling out: "You Are Fired!" was elected the 45th president of the US, and even as President-elec had started racheting the rhetoric of wanting to confront China. And after he mentioned he's going to look at the Taiwan Act which recognized China as the full representative of all China, including Taiwan, China was rattled. They all but grovelled at the feet of President-elect Trump, then. They sprang into action on the double.
The Chinese - from ordinary peasants and men and women and old men in the streets to academics and politicians including the armed forces chiefs and rank and file soldiers, not to mention overseas Chinese who dearly love their motherland! In fact, the whole Chinese race - started aspousing in unison the wisdom of holding a summit in America between President Xi and the new US president. They would take out ads in all prominent newpapers or Tabloids of the world to encourage (plead with) President Trump to agree to a summit, telling him it would be good for both countries, and other wisdom. Why China was too eager for a summit between President Xi and President?
Because they were suspicious of Trump, about whom they had no clue, except that he was proclaimed as a strong leader who are fearless. The Chinese side wanted Xi to go the US before Trump declared some policy to persue and which he could not backtract from - which will throw a spanner into China's many planned but yet to be implemented illegal projects (even Obama never countenanced).
However, if only the Chinese side knew about Trump's 'mercurial' character (which Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad of Malaysia used as a reason he didn't want to have any dealing with President Trmp). "Trump would change his mind within 24 hours," he added, those CCP and the Chinese nation would not have spent those valuable dollars or pound sterlings to purchase ads in Western newpapers. They just had to wait 24 hours and China's artificial island building in South China Seas and the Taiwan Act would be saved by a matter of course. Trump can be expected to say he's not 100% going to relook the Taiwant Act but just want to give notice to China that they shouldn't expect my administration to concede anything like Obama did.
True as Tun Mahathir had predicted: during the summit, and what, even before the summit, Trump showed signs he's going to cave in hurry. During the state buffet in honor of the Chinese VIP couple, Trump totally forgot about his rhetoric of confronting China. He treated the honored guests so well that the state visitors didn't know how to feel: to be honored or suspicious. The treatment was so good they almost couldn't believe it. During the buffet Trump's granddaughter Arabella Kusher was even roped in (100% by Trump himself in order to impress and to entertain the Chinese preident and his spouse!
Of course, the Chinese state visitors were more than happy, got more than they came for. They were treated extremely well, and what's more, their host president of the US conceded everything they wanted from the summit!
Which means the Chinese nation didn't err in trusting their killer-negotiator president. He proved again, that he's indeed a killer negotiator!

In hindside (for the Chinese nation), they worried too much and too early, but could they help it? No! China is an evil empire in making (if not already is). It doesn't believe in give & take; it just wants to take, take and take! When Mao invaded Tibet he ignored the Tibetans' aspiration and human rights. China simply cannot discover any links between China and anyone or country even historical or so little and they will not kick up a fuss to make it known to the world that Tibet once belonged to China, and that's for them enough to designate Tibet as Chinese territory to be reunited with China one day!C
Hong Kong was seized back from Colonial Rule of Britain by a nifty sleight of hand by China (it promised to rule the territory by way of one China two systems, which it of course, reneged after a few years).
When it comes to China, anyone (country/countries) that deal with China because they are attracted to its world-biggest market, do so at their own risks. For China does not want to just co-exist with other nations it wants to bring them to heel so that China rules supreme. The fact that it doesn't rule the world yet was not because it didn't want to but because it could not. Of course, it's not awaiting divine intervention in its favor to make it happen. It's, in fact, taking concrete steps, nay, it had taken concrete step like so what Stefan Molyneux had claimed in his article. Checked.
Here's the thing, for the last few months you couldn't go to the internet (Youthtube) without being presented with numerous non-stop videos of Indian and Bangaladeshi portals presenting some kinds of debates about Wuhan lab-escaped Coronavirus2 pandemic which have been causing death and destruction throughout the world for the last one year. Both of these countries due to being in close proximity with each other are voicing out their anger at China! Wion is one of them which dares to say what needs to be said. All panels were composed of pro-India, anti-China panels but some pro-China debaters are always represented through zoom to give legitimacy to the debates, and not put off viewers!
Anyway, most on the panels seemed to have gathered a lot of information about China's clandestine behaviors and intention! Especally relating to Coronavirus2 being used as biological weapons to attack adversary countries and dstroy their health care and economic systems, to make the war half won, as early as 2015. Citing a few PLA generals who had advocated in their articles to deploy the Covid-19 Coronavirus2 as China's future ICBM to subdue its enemies, if not destroy them. At these debates tensions are high. The thing is, the harder India was hit by the Covid-19 the angrier the tones of the (Indian) debaters at all the forums! Checked. Do you wish to know more?
