Again, this proved that the Malaysian Chinese Association has really completely lost its usefulness. If a small matter like Jonker Walk closure was beyond its power then, that 's it.

The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

What these people thought when they came up with the theme for their bar and lounge advertisement was Buddhism's a tame religion and its believers not known to react by going on killing rampage like Islam. Checked.
We often hear about Westerners trifling with the Buddha's name or his image - purportedly to promote their businesses! Some sticks the Buddha's image on his front gate, or behind his lounge counter, etc. In another word, they trifle with none other than the Buddha - the greatest and holiest of all gods - who Buddhists believe resides in heavens in a place higher than all other gods or prophets! Checked.
Well, it may be okay in the West - but they should be sensitive to the normal cultural environment of their host country Myanmar. Judging by the comments from the bar manager's father that the Myanmar authorities should forgive his son's lark, showed they have no respect for other people's religion - which can be trifled with immunity. Checked.
A lark? These are obviously very ignorant people. Checked.
Well said, SIAM KID. Buddha's merciful; but he should not be used as tools to enrich oneself. I hope the New Zealander realize and repent and persuade his father to repent, too for the Buddha was so pure and untainted he sits in heavens at the level higher than all other gods and prophets, Buddhist believe! The Government Knee-jerk Reaction
To Be Fair This Umno-led BN Government Is Not Against Chinese Per se - They Are Against The DAP!
A person with a little bit of thinking capacity will be able to see through the minister's action. The New Village movie was put on back burner for having scenes that teach people to be communists, according to him. There's no indication if Astro will be allowed to air the movie, its own production, but judging by the harsh and uncompromising tone of the minister, probably not. So indignantly the people behind the project advised Malaysians - their target audience - to either go for DVD or YouTube to solve the problem. Checked.
But these people are more intelligent than me (they, for instance, could produce a good movie), but I must say they were not smart for titling their production as "New Village." They should have learned from experience (where were they when Chin Peng died and had wished to be buried in his home town Setiawan, and the government represented by the same minister went to all lengths to prevent that?)...Checked.
Okay judging from other people's experience, that any movies produced by Chinese or have anything to do with Chinese history will not be allowed in this country as long as this government is in power. Checked.
When Astro advised the possible audience to go for DVD and or YouTube to circumvent their power, the minister got even more determined to stop Malaysians from viewing the unapproved content he said. Hence the threat to even go to the unprecedented length of censoring YouTube. This was a knee-jerk reaction to Astro Shaw's smart move. Checked.
The question is: will the Malays accept this unprecedented move (which they can see was just a ploy to hem in the Chinese Malaysians)? But the person as intelligent as the minister would never embark on something if it entails his shooting himself in the foot. He must believe that the Malays are not that internet savvy (although granted Malays do tune on to YouTube) to miss anything so probably they don't mind their government shutting down YouTube? It's safe to shut down YouTube, he reckons, if the Malays won't miss it. Won't they? Checked.
But will the same minister be so anti-communism now that the Umno-led BN so whole-heartedly applauded the prime minister's well-heralded trade delegation to China where he asked the Chinese government to invest in almost everything except building of mosques, perhaps? As it turned out the Chinese communists are people with credibility and integrity and easy to do business with - hence, Najib even deserted his long time golf partner, President Obama's America and went over to the country (the race) that the minister and other Umno leaders liked to demonize and despise so much. Checked.
That's why, the Chinese say they are the only real people in this world! The rest are just ghosts. Red-haired ghosts (Hoong-moh kwai), Malai Kwai (Malay ghosts), or Kaling-kwai (Indian ghosts), etc. Checked.
The world over everyone knows the Middle Kingdom people are honest and reliable. And the prime minister was wise in inching closer to China. From now onward, Malaysia doesn't have to worry about where to get investment or funds to develop the country; China has the world's largest money reserve. Check.
One thing to remember, though, China is all for making friends and money doing business with people wherever they may be - they don't tolerate double-crossing. Checked.

Why A Muslim Parades Himself As A Christian?
Keith Maurice Ellison Congressman-elect (D-MN) Would Have A Hard Time Convincing voters of The Fifth District of Minnesota To Elect Him Had He Not Paraded Himself As A Christian Checked.

Have Americans come to term with Rep. Ellison being a Muslim but not quite? Have you ever asked him point-blank, who is he? Of course, you won't ask him if he's a Muslim as his name suggests he's a Christian? It would be interesting to hear from him personally (from the horse's mouth, if you will), what is religion, that's, if you finally decide to give way to your curiosity. Checked.
Do you believe he will answer the question, or back away as usual? Checked.
According to Fox News report today, Rep. Ellison - who is fighting to be DNC chairman - strictly avoided to talk about his past. At first he agreed to be interviewed by phone but later when the time came, reneged on his promise. He gave no reason for not talking about his past or who he is. Checked.
Nothing unusual, or surprising there. Rep. Ellison, I believe, would never reveal who he really is if he could help it. For his success so far from being an unknown Muslim Congressman to now challenging the DNC chair - was largely due to the opaqueness of his behavior. I believe he believed if he presents himself as a Muslim when he's campaigning for office as people's representative he's afraid he would be rejected (especially now that the majority of Muslims have been identified as likely terrorists whose sole aim as Muslims was to convert or kill infidels). Checked.
I hate to call Rep. Ellison - whose full name once was Keith Maurice Ellison when he was an African-American Christian - a deceiver but..sorry for saying this, that's what he seems to be. A deceiver. Yes, you heard me, a deceiver! Checked.
I came to know about this Muslim convert for a long time. I knew about his passion about promoting the greatness of Islam - like what President Obama had been vowing - with the aim to gradually take over America and turn it into a Muslims country with sharia law; about his opaque way to achieve that agenda by not using Muslim name such as Mohammad or Mohamed which is most popular among Muslims; about his crying like a baby at Republican Rep. Steve King's public hearing on Muslim CAIR's role in working with the Muslim Brotherhood to undermine America from within; about his being a very conservative Muslim who seemed to be prepared to even die for his religion but at the same time he chose to parade himself as a Christian - meaning he's ashamed to be a Muslim, or known as a Muslim. Is he? Was he, past tense? Checked.
I shudder to think what was his intention in wanting to be the DNC chairman? Checked.
I read in Fox News report today referring to him as Rep. Ellison; without the his first name Keith (Maurice) which was the usual case back in those years. What did it mean the removal of his first name? Was it a typo? I hope so. I am quite happy that he had removed the name Keith from his full name; if, say, that was his intention, not a typo. Checked.
But then again, I heard people say MSM are siding with the Democrats; Rep. Keith Maurice Ellison is a Democrat. If he asked them to omit Keith Maurice from his full name, they will. There's no doubt about that. Let's wait and see. Checked.
I hope Congress will introduce a law to ban Muslim politicians from parading themselves as Christians to deceive American voters. Checked.
Still, I am still not hundred percent satisfied that he continued to mislead the American voters that he and another of his kind, Andre Carson, were not Muslims! They are. And in cahoots with the Muslim Brotherhood or Sisterhood to silently work to transform America - like what President Obama had been doing for years.Checked.
Years ago I became aware of this Congressman's design to cheat the American voters into voting for him by not using Muslim names. And I had been turning out articles after articles, mostly on MSNBC Newsvine.com to expose him. Checked.
Lest I am misunderstood, I have no problem with Keith Maurice Ellison or any Muslims in America, for that matter, becoming a Congressmen or senators. My beef was with his parading himself as a Christian when he is not! Checked.
With his passion for his Islamic religion to the extent of emotional break down at a public hearing by Rep. Peter King, and was widely known (and derided) on social media as a man shedding crocodile tears - expect him to protest as emotionally against being not allowed to use Muslim names - if there's such a ban! Checked.
If he's so passionate about being a Muslim, he should not hide the fact that he's a Muslim like a plaque; be a man and face the voters as who he really is: a Muslim man, and see if he could win. As it's, he should not be proud of his achievement as it came through fraud called deception. Checked.
He of course, could argue that he was well-known as a Muslim Congressman. That maybe so, but when facing his voters they could think that Keith name is a Christian name. In Muslim majority countries like Indonesia or Malaysia, he won't last a month! They (religious authorities and Muslims in the streets) will hound him and accuse him of trying to convert other Muslims and will be punished severely. Checked.
He could count himself lucky that he's (parading as Christian) in America, and get away with it. President-elect Trump should work to have a legislation passed in Congress and the Senate houses to ban Muslims parading as phony Christians to deceive voters. If they think they are good enough to be a Congressman or Senator, why hide their Muslim names behind Christianity? Checked.
Even if in the US there is no law outlawing using one's original name after embracing Islam, only surname should continue to be used, not first name which is a Christian name such as John or Keith. When John embraces Islam he will be given a Mohamed or Faisal or Abdul name. Checked.
We don't know, Keith Maurice Ellison never reveals, what his Muslim name is. Whatever name he's given, or he himself chose, when he became a Muslim - please use it! Checked.

The reason the Democrats or any public officials allied to them put forward for asking for recounts was that the law allows. That's true; but what about the wisdom of doing it? Hadn't Hillary Clinton conceded and proclaimed "Trump is our president and we should give him a chance to govern?" Had the Democrat lawyers including the Democrats themselves as a whole said no evidence of fraud or hacking was found? Moreover, machines were not connected to the internet, for crying out loud. Checked.
Otherwise - the Democrats or the Green would not be so restrained, would they? They simply excused that what's wrong with doing a recount. That their reason for joining the recount scam was it's permitted by law. It's not illegal. Is that all? What about decency; fair play, and American values that Hillary said we had been abiding by 200 years, without problem? Checked.
Therefore it's not fair for Trump to say he would wait until the election is over before accepting, the result, they said. Now after Trump won she did keep her word to accept Trump "as our president" but only for a few days! Checked.
So what happens now? Why she changed her mind? Was she roped in by George Soros, again? It can't be other reason; only a few days ago there were reports of the top liberal left leaders allegedly held a brainstorming session in a hotel with the said agenda of stealing the election from Donald Trump. Checked.
What excuse she gave after agreeing to support or joining with the Green candidate Jill Steins to request for recounts in three states where Trump won but with less decisive vote was nothing but a scam, the president-elect said. So, the intention was clear - to overturn Trump's win, and allow Hillary Clinton to become president. Checked.
The American voters should not forget these misdeeds of Jill Steins and Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party to not vote for them again in future. And end their political careers for good! Checked.
For your information, we cannot blame Hillary Clinton alone. The main culprits are George Soros and his son and President Obama which included Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany who lead the new world order! Checked.
