reporter who covered the protest reported Gan was suddenly cautious . He was like ..."I'm here to lend my support to..the .. no, wait! I am not here to support the traders - but just to do a quick
survey! But I am glad to be standing here with the protesters but reporters, please put it down in black and white I am not, I repeat, am not here as part of the protest. This is the reason the MCA
was shunned, I mean has been shunned by the Chinese. They do not represent the Chinese anymore. They cannot get things done anymore unlike in the old days. Gan admitted his meeting with the chief
minister was fruitless, but would keep trying. Keep trying for what? He should stop embarrassing the MCA and reducing its credibility further by continuing to beg despite being rebuffed earlier.
Again, this proved that the Malaysian Chinese Association has really completely lost its usefulness. If a small matter like Jonker Walk closure was beyond its power then, that 's it.

The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

Updated Today: Septeember 17, 2021When will President Trump realize that he cannot say or do anything with out thinking of what will happen afterwards? His way of doing first or talking first, if you will, and think later has to stop. His days of talking or saying whatever comes to mind are over. Checked.
His fondness or recklessness in talking without text or
restrain will be his undoing. All the controversies playing out for
the last few weeks which drove his administration to a corner, the so
-called Comey memos, his request for loyalty from the FBI directer,
the loud hoping that James Comey let off Michael
Flynn lightly "as he's a good guy," and the abrupt change of the reason for the Comey firing from
Rosenstein's memo to .."Actually, I have decided to fire the FBI
directer long before Rosenstein's recommendation!" Then he went on to
talk aimlessly in the same breath about his unhappiness about the FBI
on-going investigation of Trump and Russia collusion; which
unavoidably led to him exposing his flanks to his enemies (the talk
show hosts of MSNBC and others) bent on destroying his presidency in
its infancy. It amounts to self-inflicted wounds, if you will. It's a
disaster! Checked.
It's unbelievable that the president himself
seems to be blissfully unaware how his no-holds-barred talking has
played right into the hands of those who want to topple him.
Checked.
His habit in speaking without a care in the world, or
recklessly if you will, will be his undoing. Checked.
While it
feels good to be an eloquent speaker or known as one, not everyone can
do it, without the danger to say a wrong thing, or a gaffe, which
one's enemies are waiting to exploit! Checked.
If a mistake is
made and the speaker realizes it, he can quickly retract the statement
to minimize the damage. But if, say, the speaker is blissfully unaware
of his blunders, they can hurt him - badly in the case of President
Trump's.Checked.
President Trump should immediately change his
way (of public speaking), and change fast, according to Bill O'reilly
of No Spin News fame.Checked.
President Trump also should watch
the MSNBC talk show hosts such as 'Morning Joe' and Rachel Maddow,
Lester Holt, Chris Mathew, last but not least, Chris Hays - to understand what
a big problem he's facing. Checked.
These talk show hosts have nothing else to do except to bring
down President Trump, and believe me, their bashing of the president
has taken become an art form including among their invited guests!
Checked.
But, while quite nauseating as they appear, these talk
show hosts are not wholly to blame. President Trump himself 'paves' the way for them, if
you will. Checked.
And when he gave interviews to these detaractors he's utterly hopeless and helpless - he was so nervous while in progress as if he's inadequate man lost for words or didn't know what he's saying, and was largely led on to inflict his own wounds on himself. And once these talkshow hosts such as Lestor Holt, for instance, managed to lure him astray and made him say unhelpful things about his presidency which they had been waiting to exploit they gleefully went on to attack him 24/7 on the air to discredit and in the end destroy his reputation and administration. Checked.

There's Nothing Wrong With Lee Chong Wei's Physique Or His Training - He Just Could Not Do It!
Lee Chong Wei shouldered a heavy responsibility that night in the semi-final against his nemesis Lin Dan in avoiding surrendering to his rival and ending up with a bronze medal instead of a silver as in previous outing in the Olympics; plus at least having to ensure he bagged a silver!The whole country was silent and glued to their Television sets or giant screens out door purposely put up by the government or state authorities, to ensure every drop shot or jumping smashes are not missed! the prime minister himself could not afford to miss the actions and excitement. He joined about 200-strong crowd in the nation's capital to cheer and give encouragement to our likely Olympics champion. He was bowled over by Chong Wei's nail-biting slugging with Lin Dan of China the man who thwarted him again and again in this crucial game of the planet. After the slug-fest the prime minister dared to voice his opinion that Datuk Lee Chong Wei has what it takes to win an Olympics gold this time. Like everyone else, the PM was impressed by Chong Wei's skill and fighting spirit, otherwise he wouldn't dare to predict a gold medal for Malaysia this Olympics. Checked.
Still, the prime minister may or may not remember that we are a giant alongside the great badminton nations such as China, Indonesia and Denmark but..we never won more than a silver! As I predicted earlier in the battle of the semi-final (even against Lin Dan) Chong Wei could win! This is because the contest is (was) not crucial or the do or die game. Checked.
For Malaysia, whatever the sport - women or men - it seem we are good enough for only silvers! It seems we don't have what it takes to qualify for a gold of the Olympic. We just can't. Sorry for saying this. This is not to say Lee Chong Wei is smaller than Lin Dan and so is handicapped? No! As a matter of fact, Lee Chong Wei has the skill to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Lee Chong Wei can and did beat Lin Dan numerous times, otherwise how could he become world number one?! There 's nothing wrong with Datuk Lee Chong Wei training or physical health, or playing styles. He IS just not mentally fit enough to become an Olympics champion or even World Cup! Checked.
As we have noticed, Lee Chong Wei had won all opens except the World Cup and the Olympics! And, for that matter, none of our great, great players including past ones had ever triumphed at these two arenas! I don't think our boys failed at the World Cup or Olympics due to lack of desire, preparation or skill. We just are not Olympics champion material. That's all. Checked.
Back to the just ended Olympics. I had predicted none of our athletes would win any gold medal, and I was proven right! Checked.
Sorry, my frank opinion may hurt people's feeling. I apologies from the bottom of my heart! But then again, the Chinese coach may be right. If, and there is no other choice, Chong Wei joins the Chinese or Indonesian squads and play in the coming Olympics representing these countries, he may have a better outing! Checked.

Obsessed With Danger From Hezbollah Israel Now Supports ISIS

Because Israeli Leaders Now See Muslim Brotherhood As Their Friends! Hope They Know What They Got Themselves into!
Israeli leaders or politicians have forgotten their humble beginning. They used to be supported by fewer countries or people of the world than the Palestinians. President Obama also almost forced it to gain peace with the Palestinians by agreeing to give up the spoils of war and agree to go back to prior-1967 border in exchange for peace and other trade-offs of lands. President Obama could succeed in forcing Israel to revert to 1948 borders with a negotiated adjustment, by pretending to support its air strikes against Iran nuclear plants and reactors but later to renege it in the Israeli hours of need. Checked.
With Iran's massive retaliation which diminished Israel's defense capability to dangerous level, the Palestinians in cahoots with the Arab states who earlier received the drubbing from Israel would be unable to resist the temptation to start a war with Israel which then they believe could result in their favor, this time. Hezbollah, too, could be counted to come in from Lebanon. Syria and Jordan could also bury the hatchet and unite to mount an Arab invasion to take over Israel. Checked.
The only question for the Palestinians is: "Can They Win or Defeat the Jewish state?" If the answer is yes, all the Arab League's members's rivalries or petty quarrels would be forgotten over night. This will unite all Arab states from the Middle East to Africa, and answer the call of the Arab nation to wage war and defeat the Jews and throw them all into the sea. Checked.
Israel would be utterly alone again if war breaks out. With Iran daily bombing by aviation from the sky and hurling cruise missiles from Iraq, and Hezbollah invading from the Lebanese border in the north and the Palestinians restarting Intifada from Gaza, Israel would be hard- pressed to stave off attacks from all sides, and would turn to America for help! Checked.
As US president Obama had no choice but to come to Israel's aid, as dictated by America's iron-clad guarantee of Israel's safety, he did..only a bit late. And Obama would delay and delay until the Jewish stat almost defeated. Yes, almost. Checked.
But even if Obama came almost too late to offer assistance he still didn't fail to honor the pledge. Checked.
Obama would warn the Palestinians or Hezbollah not try to destroy Israel, for he won't stand for it. But to defeat Israel is not the same thing as destroying Israel, and much as they hated the Jews they have no desire to throw all Jews into the sea. They would accept peace with Israel as long as it agrees to bow to all their demands as the victors. Checked.
Then Obama stepped in and forced the Arab to hold peace talks with Israel. But the vanquished side would have to accept whatever the Arab nation demand. After pretending to chastise the Arabs for their brutality in killing so may Jews, Obama forced a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians on the Arab's terms, on Israel. Israel had to go back to the 1948 borders! Checked.
But Israel had come a long way; after its defeat of the Arabs in 1967 and seized a big swaths of lands from the Arab and annexed them to increase its land size three folds, giving it better security from Arab attacks. Checked.
But that doesn't mean Israel is or was secured. Israel could never be secure, and it knows that. Checked.
Israel's nightmare is the Hezbollah. It's obsessed with finding ways to stop that nightmare. Because Hezbollah help Assad to fight off his enemies, Israel swore to take Assad as its enemy. That's why Israel sent its efficient air force to bomb Syrian positions for no reason under the pretext of bombing ISIS. It's a lie as Israel have in the past admitted to helping treat ISIS's wounded fighters in Israel's hospitals! Checked.
By doing that Israel has betrayed all those who had supported it in its hour of needs once. Checked.
It has probably come to term with the US-Iran nuclear deal which it's powerless to prevent or stop; and that now it's forced to choose Arab states as friends although they (the Arab states) agree to be its friends for a while while they need all friends they can get in order to achieve their dream of toppling President Assad, while Israel would do anything even join with the devils, in order to make Hezbollah disappear, if possible. Checked.
Israel is now desperate. If Syria's Assad continues to be President, Israel would lose, if not face danger. It's prepared to help Assad's enemies (Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and Lebanon) topple Assad even though it knows if Assad falls the government will be controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood and all its offshoots operating in Syria, and the minorities including the Christians would be oppressed or forced to become Muslims. Checked.
Israeli leaders couldn't care less about other people's welfare and have been obsessed with fighting against Iran or Hezbollah and had become unscrupulous, work with the devils, if you will. Checked.
I have supported Israel when it fought against the Arab nation, and still do but my support is vaporizing rapidly since Israel started helping treat ISIS wounded fighters. I hope Israel will rethink this mistake and step back from the brink. Checked.
If Israeli leaders think by supporting ISIS it will make Israel safer, they are wrong. They will regret it one day, soon! Checked.
