reporter who covered the protest reported Gan was suddenly cautious . He was like ..."I'm here to lend my support to..the .. no, wait! I am not here to support the traders - but just to do a quick
survey! But I am glad to be standing here with the protesters but reporters, please put it down in black and white I am not, I repeat, am not here as part of the protest. This is the reason the MCA
was shunned, I mean has been shunned by the Chinese. They do not represent the Chinese anymore. They cannot get things done anymore unlike in the old days. Gan admitted his meeting with the chief
minister was fruitless, but would keep trying. Keep trying for what? He should stop embarrassing the MCA and reducing its credibility further by continuing to beg despite being rebuffed earlier.
Again, this proved that the Malaysian Chinese Association has really completely lost its usefulness. If a small matter like Jonker Walk closure was beyond its power then, that 's it.

The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

President Trump Woes Are His Own Creation. Therefore He Can Make Them Disappear If He Wants To!
A lot of people (his supporters and detractors included) have said they can't believe this is taking place - a person (a president at that) could be so detached from reality that he thought he could do anything say anything and won't be be aware or worried, if you will, about anything as a consequence of that. Checked.
We are, of course, talking about President Trump. Checked.
For the last two weeks, or three weeks, especially during the last two weeks - or shall we say, after he fired FBI directer James Comey - President Trump have not been watching out. Checked.
He is acting like he's not concerned about what might happen (to him or his administration) if he carries on like this. He must be aware that few people, especially the Dems and especially Hillary Clinton herself, had expected him to win (the 2016 presidential election) and they are extremely unhappy when he did, and would do anything to undo his win. Checked.
That's why the story of Russian-Trump collusion was invented and told. Checked.
Many people also believe Trump was a victim of his fallout with the intelligence communities like the FBI and CIA. Senate Democratic minority leader Sen. Check Schumer, had even predicted Trump would one day regret his criticisms of the intelligence communities. His prediction seemed to have come true! Checked.
After he fired James Comey, even more people want to do him in - the FBI directer himself, of course, and his friends in the FBI and MSM such as The New York Times, The Washing Post, MSNBC and CNN, just for example. Checked.
These people are mounting a 24/7 relentless campaign to remove him from office, and they seem to be succeeding. Checked.
Added to the Trump's woes was the stunning appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel by the deputy AG Rosenstein who all of a sudden decided to act. Still no news why he rushed to appoint Robert Mueller, and whether the real AG himself was consulted. But one thing was certain, Mueller was no friend of Trump if that's what President Trump thought! Still, politicians of both sides of the aisle had sung praises of Robert Mueller so we have to wait and see what the special counsel can find out, whether President Trump had committed any crime. Checked.
As the media or the Left and Dems have been leveling accusations after accusations against President Trump so thick and heavy in the air you can even use a knife to cut it, his presidency is in danger unless he watches Bob Mueller like a hawk! That he warned the special counsel that his job was to ascertain whether he or his campaign did conspire with Russians against US interests - not how much his company earns or with whom it does business with. Checked.
The play using the so-called James Comey's memos (which he claims he never neglects to record all his activities in including his interaction with people other than Donald Trump during his course of duty) has continued unabated. You know why? Because they get something out of it (the New York Times and The Washington Post, just for the example, have been working consistently for the downfall of President Trump, feel that they have found something that could be the beginning of the end of President TRUMP and his government; James Comey - his revenge against President Trump for sacking him, and the person who acts on behalf of James Comey, must also want something out of his trouble which the former FBI directer IS sure to view him with affection and reward him appropriately.Checked.
The only problem - or shall we say the question - do the Comey memos actually exist? For their good let's hope they do. Checked.
Another question, and this is more important, are they sure that James Comey has been truthful with them 100% and that he will not betray them in the end - and leave them holding the baby alone! Checked.
Perhaps they have thought about that too but their hatred of President Trump have blinded them, and since Comey also has an ax to grind with Trump their common enemy, they decided to trust Comey. Checked.
President Trump had been shifting his positions he had envisaged during when he was Candidate Trump too - his intention to confront China on currency manipulation, 1-China policy and South China Sea artificial island building, his opposition to the US getting involved in civil war in Syria and his wish to let President Assad be; his Muslim ban..(quote: "Islam hates us. There is a tremendous of hatred in them for us. I don't know where in the religion of Islam. But they hate us so much! A tremendous hatred against us!"), Muslim Brotherhood ban and may reimpose Muslim registry, and last but not least, to build the wall and ask Mexico to pay for it, etc.etc.etc. - but miraculously there was no sign his supporters are deserting him! Checked.
Michael Goodwin of The New York Post was right when he said what Trump must do (or don't do, if you will) if he wants to save his presidency. Checked.
According to the Fox News contributor and The New York Post columnist, Trump have made so many mistakes that it will take a miracle to get himself out from his present quagmire, and there will be no dead branches extended for him to grab, so to speak, from passers-by repelled by his impulsive and insensitive actions. Checked.
Michael Goodwin says, quote: "President Trump has Dems (and even some Republicans) gunning for him." But according to him, it's not too late for Trump to save his presidency if he can discipline himself to stop his habit of speaking or acting first and thinking later. Period. Checked.
Trump's habit of no-holds- barred attacks on other people which can also hurt him, can be traced back to his battle with GOP hopefuls for GOP national nomination may have earned him the nomination but in the process he had stepped on too many toes for his own good. While the GOP hopefuls were decent people and many indicated they didn't hold grudges forever, many Americans came away from watching him humiliate his fellow GOP presidential aspirants with distaste in their mouths. This caused people to lose respect for him and add to that the relentless demonizing of him by the Left and Liberals and the Dems, you can expect his respectability to dose-dive gradually. The chilling effects of that were seen everywhere across the country: the judges thought nothing of banning his Muslim ban and travel ban without even a hearing. Such was the (dis)respect they accorded the president of America. No other presidents have been treated with so little respect like President Trump.Checked.
According to Michael Goodwin, who seemed to sum up that the president's behavior post his firing of James Comey was the straw that broke the camel's back! His inability to stick to the Rosenstein's memo which completely demolished James Comey's characters was a big loss to President Trump. If he didn't give that interview to Lester Holt of MSNBC he won't be in this mess with the FBI directer as he (Comey) would lack the moral high ground, or may not be even plotting revenge as he's now as he knew it was Rosenstein who lobbied President Trump to fire him! But Trump was smart (or maybe he's just in his mood swing to change his story, again) that a few hours or days later (I am not sure which) he maintained his decision to fire Comey was not a mistake - the Deputy AG Rosenstein also lobbied for Comey's dismissal, he said. Which almost repaired his image in the eyes of the American people, though not his media critics such as Lester Holt who rewrote the script about James Comey firing saga - from recommendation by deputy AG Rosenstein to Trump's angry about Comey's investigation of him! And Lester Holt attributed the changed narrative to Trump's own words spoken to him in person! Checked.
Trump may not agree with Lester Holt's linking his
dismissal of Comey to the on-going investigation of Trump-Russian
collusion, but what can he do to rectify it? Nothing as the president
is not the chief editor of the MSNBC! So, he's going to be burned at
the stake if, that's, if Robert Mueller wants to grant

His Insistence In Speaking Without A Care In The World Will Hurt His Presidency!

Updated Today: Septeember 17, 2021When will President Trump realize that he cannot say or do anything with out thinking of what will happen afterwards? His way of doing first or talking first, if you will, and think later has to stop. His days of talking or saying whatever comes to mind are over. Checked.
His fondness or recklessness in talking without text or
restrain will be his undoing. All the controversies playing out for
the last few weeks which drove his administration to a corner, the so
-called Comey memos, his request for loyalty from the FBI directer,
the loud hoping that James Comey let off Michael
Flynn lightly "as he's a good guy," and the abrupt change of the reason for the Comey firing from
Rosenstein's memo to .."Actually, I have decided to fire the FBI
directer long before Rosenstein's recommendation!" Then he went on to
talk aimlessly in the same breath about his unhappiness about the FBI
on-going investigation of Trump and Russia collusion; which
unavoidably led to him exposing his flanks to his enemies (the talk
show hosts of MSNBC and others) bent on destroying his presidency in
its infancy. It amounts to self-inflicted wounds, if you will. It's a
disaster! Checked.
It's unbelievable that the president himself
seems to be blissfully unaware how his no-holds-barred talking has
played right into the hands of those who want to topple him.
Checked.
His habit in speaking without a care in the world, or
recklessly if you will, will be his undoing. Checked.
While it
feels good to be an eloquent speaker or known as one, not everyone can
do it, without the danger to say a wrong thing, or a gaffe, which
one's enemies are waiting to exploit! Checked.
If a mistake is
made and the speaker realizes it, he can quickly retract the statement
to minimize the damage. But if, say, the speaker is blissfully unaware
of his blunders, they can hurt him - badly in the case of President
Trump's.Checked.
President Trump should immediately change his
way (of public speaking), and change fast, according to Bill O'reilly
of No Spin News fame.Checked.
President Trump also should watch
the MSNBC talk show hosts such as 'Morning Joe' and Rachel Maddow,
Lester Holt, Chris Mathew, last but not least, Chris Hays - to understand what
a big problem he's facing. Checked.
These talk show hosts have nothing else to do except to bring
down President Trump, and believe me, their bashing of the president
has taken become an art form including among their invited guests!
Checked.
But, while quite nauseating as they appear, these talk
show hosts are not wholly to blame. President Trump himself 'paves' the way for them, if
you will. Checked.
And when he gave interviews to these detaractors he's utterly hopeless and helpless - he was so nervous while in progress as if he's inadequate man lost for words or didn't know what he's saying, and was largely led on to inflict his own wounds on himself. And once these talkshow hosts such as Lestor Holt, for instance, managed to lure him astray and made him say unhelpful things about his presidency which they had been waiting to exploit they gleefully went on to attack him 24/7 on the air to discredit and in the end destroy his reputation and administration. Checked.

James Comey Could Count On The Democrats, Regardless

Still Skeptical? Just Do Like The Clintons Do: Compel Him By Bribing Him Or Warn Him What 'The Bermuda Triangle' Can Do To People If They Refuse To Do As Asked !
President Trump had fired James Comey practically on everyone's urging; so to resurrect him as a hero of the moment or to call him a principled person who was victimized for his looming conclusion of the FBI investigation, was never more further from the truth. Checked.
He was never principled, as shown by his exoneration of Hillary Clinton over claasified email scandal, regardless; nor was he so urgent in getting to the bottom of the FBI so-called investigation that he actually made a request, he said, for more resources such as for more personnel or money to quickly bring the investigation to a conclusion President Trump and other fair-minded Americans wanted. Checked.
No! What's actually happening was James Comey decided due to a reason, that the furthest he could go (talk about it) was just to announce or confirm that there was an on-going investigation against Trump or Trump associates or team over possible colludion with Russia, but could not let anyone in on whether he had made any progress or questioned any Russians, or subpoenaed any in case they refused to cooperate? None; the FBI directer was not blamed only as he cited regulation in place which allows him to refuse to answer any questions about any on-going investigation, and he got away with it. Checked.
This left many people - ordinary people and political leaders sort of in a bind, a catch22, if you will. Checked.
James Comey knew all along his actions were contrary to normal justice he had sworn to uphold, and that his position would be untenable as a result. But he believed he had erred in sending a letter to congress about Hillary Clinton mistakes in handling classified information which everyone knows is a crime, days before the final vote of an on-going general election, and wished to make amends! Checked.
Say what you may about Clinton's bad behaviors or whether she's good enough to win the White House, she had the right to be furious with the FBI directer for maybe causing her the loss to Donald Trump. Checked.
Everyone knows or tends to regard him as a good man but fate had decided otherwise. He was an Obama appointee and morally duty bound to choose sides of the political aisle although he may have sworn to be loyal to the government he's serving. He chose his former boss's side. There, therefore, was no mystery here about where his loyalty lay. When he called a press conference to announce his relooking into the Clinton email scandal just days before D-day, if you will, so exasperated President Obama that he didn't mince his words in taking Comey to task! Other top leaders Democratic party also declared war on James Comey, saying he had lost all credibilty and probably broke the law and should face the music. They were so angry that they probably wished him dead! Cheched.
James Comey had no quarrel with President Trump, and could even feel some gratitude for the President for being kind enough to keep him as FBI head, but then he awoke from that dream and returned to the real world with a guilty conscience.. that he primarily was responsible for denying Hillary Clinton of her dream - to be the 45th president of the US. Checked.
He swore again and again, that he would do anything Hillary Clinton asks of him. All he wants (in return) perhaps is her forgiveness. Checked.
Would Hillary Clinton be magnanimous enough to forgive the man who cost her the presidency? Yes, she would - provided he did as he was told. After that, James Comey lived only to serve the Dems and, by extension, became a tool. Checked.
CNN said it was the intelligence communities - meaning the CIA and FBI which came forward with what CNN called a bombshell, that Russia helped Donald Trump win the 2016 election, by disparaging Hillary Clinton as a candidate. Checked.
But according to CNN, the FBI or CIA also cautioned that the information's from unknown and unverified sources (so don't publish it as if it's true). It's doubful, if you will. But this type of information is harmful to Donald Trump, if harnful to Donald Trump it doesn't matter where it comes from, for them, the MSM gleefully seized it like godsend from heavens which fit in with their ambitious plan to destroy Donald J. Trump's presidency! One Hillary Clinton's order had been carried out? Checked.
