Again, this proved that the Malaysian Chinese Association has really completely lost its usefulness. If a small matter like Jonker Walk closure was beyond its power then, that 's it.

The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

As world leaders make a beeline to phone, meet or fix an appointment to congratulate the new President-elect of
the United States of America, Britain's Theresa May may have to wait a bit, a bit longer whether to just speak
on the phone or or have four-eye meeting with President-elect Donald Trump - compared to the lucks of other
foreign leaders; even Nigel Farage, for that matter. Checked.
Well, nothing to worry about, actually. Teresa May will be accorded her previlege as close friends of the US,
except that at this moment the transition to powers in the White House did seem to attract more attention than
playing host to May. Moreover, Britain's prime minister May have already congratulated Donald Trump though not
personally, but from afar through the media, when she warned (or advised, I am not sure, which) Trump not to carry out
his promise to flush out Muslims from the US those already in and to vigorously interview and vet future Muslims
applications to enter or visit the US.Checked.
And why is that? Why was she so interested in looking out for the Muslims the world over? To show compassion like
Angela Merkel did to Turkish and Syrian refugees (to the dismay and consternation of native Germans, not to mention causing the erosion of
their rights and freedom to walk wherever they wish? Checked.
Is May confident (or complacent) that Britain is secured, no more bombing is going to happen because she, her
government and British society in general, had done a good job in getting themselves into the good books of the
Muslims? Checked.
Is she pitching her or Britain's expertise in Muslim control to Donald Trump? So that President Trump after he
takes over the Oval Office could tap into to, sic, make America spared from Muslim violence, too?
Checked.
Theresa May didn't mention how she wants Trump to go about keeping his election promise to deport Muslims from
America: did she mean for Trump to carry on with Obama's policy which essentially caused the defeat of Hillary
Clinton, Obama's stooge? Checked.
Is Theresa May and her government so afraid of Muslims, that she made it her business to be seen to look out
for the welfare of Muslims wherever they are, by making it her first concern she would like Trump to address?
Checked.
This is out of this world. Can you believe it - the prime minister of Great Britain (the country that once
controlled half of the world) behaved like a dhimmis. Dhimmis refer to non-Muslims living in a
Muslim-majority countries where he/she pays taxes to the Muslim authorities for protection ). Theresa May didn't have to
pay protection money to the Muslim authorities here in Britain. In fact, the Muslims are refugees in Britain,
and they are a tiny minority. They should behave themselves as they are here in Britain at the pleasure of the British government.
The word dhimmitude can have unlimited usage for the Muslims - depending on their scruples or the lack of them of the
Muslim authorities, subject to needs. Checked.
The out-going US president Barack Hussein Obama, for instance (who admitted publicly in Middle Eastern media he
is a practicing Muslim, though he's also known as a Christian, a non-practicing one, ironically), uses
dhimmitude to grant exemption from having to purchase his Obamacare to Muslims which he knew from day one the premiums
would be beyond the reach of Muslims and therefore shackle them to life of misery like the white majority are now
enduring. So, he cleverly (he's a genius) declared the Obamacare legislation only applies to non-Muslims. When
activists or analysts questioned, what happened if the Muslims become sick and need an operation costing
$20,000, how are they going to pay? From their life saving? "No," Obama said. The Federal health Agency or
Department - or whatever you call it - would pick up the tap. Problem solved. Checked.
Maybe this is nothing new to Theresa May, or in England?
Maybe she wants to follow in the foot steps of
her predecessor, David Cameron.
Wasn't she worried her voters or those who normally vote Conservative or Tory, as the party's also known by,
would feel betrayed or to be more accurate, let down by their government's caving in to Muslim rhetoric - that
the British people will have no where to hide or be safe even in London! They are sure to lose hope or have doubts
that the government can protect them. The police's modus operandi to discourage (white) people from making
police reports against Muslims even if they commit crimes, also didn't help and almost reduced them to their
wits' end. How long more can they take it?
Theresa May's action in openly warning President-elect Trump to leave the Muslims already in America alone -
not to deport them or prevent more Muslim refugees from entering America sure didn't go unnoticed
by the British people. The prime minister's action in wanting to look after even Muslims in America must have
made them bitterly disappointed. That's why they spurned May's election campaign and gave quite a bit of their
votes to Labour's Jeremy Corbyn, who in normal time could never hold a candle to May!
The PM can now congratulate herself for successfully adding to pressure he already faced from the Dems, the liberals and the
Left to render his agenda to make America safe again by stopping the Muslim Brotherhood's agendas in America
look tottering and in danger of being discarded. Now looked increasingly like he has abandoned his wish to rid
America of Muslims. Thanks in part to the Prime Minister's efforts, the Muslims are now safe from
deportation.
But that doesn't mean President Trump's exculpated, if he lied to his voters he will be be punished. His
reelection for second term, although Americans are normally magnanimous and could give him the second term like
they did Obama although he didn't deserve it, could be in doubt if not in danger.
Never take the will of voters for granted. Theresa May and her government were dealt a terrible blow in the
snap election, remember?
Although May maybe able to pull through because of the political capital she had accumulated by respecting the
will of the Brexiters and the firm way she stood by the Brexit vote and worked hard to make it a success.
Despite her dalliance with Muslims sentiments she could still pull through. But she has to learn to stay away
from being too sympathetic to Muslim cause or she may lose their confidence in her. Once that happened, she
could face the same dilemma as former PM of Malaysia, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi!
So in short a few hundreds thousands American Muslims - a tiny community - in a country of 325 millions, get to
receive special treatment from the White House. All Americans, Whites, Hispanics or Asians, all are compelled
to abide by Obamacare law failing which severe punishment awaits. Checked.
If you think since the American people accepted the introduction of Obamacare when it was launched years ago,
they only have themselves to blame, think again. These poor Americans are not to blame. They have been lied to
by Obama using ambiguous words and terms to hide the true Obamacare they were pitching in the beginning by only
telling half truth. But the decision to buy the Obamacare idea was partly caused by their trust in Democratic
leaders such as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton who clearly failed in their duties as Congressmen
and and women, and senators - and, this is important, as human beings with conscience, to remind the fellow
white Americans to be careful before they signed up.Checked.
In fact these white leaders fell into a pattern whereby Obama the genius cleverly pitted Whites to cheat
Whites, damned easy. Obama reasoned, if he were to use African-Americans to sell his snake oil to Whites not single
one will buy. I have been writing for months to tell the white Americans - you all have been taken for a ride
by none other than your white congressmen and women and senators - I repeat, such as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi
and Hillary Clinton. Don't elect them again; let them reap what they sowed. Checked.
I am just glad my profuse writing - churning out articles after articles daily for months - imploring readers
to reject Hillary Clinton because she's at beck and call of President Obama, and will continue to be so even
after she becomes president, was not in vain. The Democrats have also lost both Houses of Congress!

What these people thought when they came up with the theme for their bar and lounge advertisements was
Buddhism's a tame religion and its believers are not known to react by going on killing rampage like Islam.

We often hear about Westerners trifling with the Buddha's name or his image - purportedly to promote their
businesses! Some sticks the Buddha's image on his front gate, or behind his lounge counter, etc. In another
word, they trifle with none other than the Buddha - the greatest and holiest of all gods - who Buddhists
believe resides in heavens in a place higher than all other gods or prophets! Checked.
Well, it may be okay in the West - but they should be sensitive to the normal cultural environment of their
host country Myanmar. Judging by the comments from the bar manager's father that the Myanmar authorities
should forgive his son's lark, showed they have no respect for other people's religions - which can be trifled
with with immunity! . Checked.
A lark? These are obviously very ignorant people. Checked.
Well said, SIAM KID. Buddha's merciful; but he should not be used as tools to enrich oneself. I hope the New
Zealander realize and repents and persuades his father to repent, too, for the Buddha was so pure and untainted
