Again, this proved that the Malaysian Chinese Association has really completely lost its usefulness. If a small matter like Jonker Walk closure was beyond its power then, that 's it.

The following stories may fire your imagination, pique your interest. Some say 1MDB is Malaysia's Sovereign Wealth fund; to others they asked what wealth fund when its total capitalization is just One million ringgit? But, then again, if you think you can look down on the pet idea of the Malaysian prime minister, think again. His idea has the potential of turning the now world famous - or shall we say, infamous - 1Malaysia Development Berhad into a giant corporation you can ever imagine - even bigger than Bill Gate's Microsoft! At least, it could be, if the original course is stayed. It was supposed to inspire Malaysians to think big besides advance growth, according to its slogans screaming out of giant bill boards throughout the country. 'Backed' by the finance ministry who owns it - which means money will never be the problem - it can only succeed. But..it didn't. It failed! That's why it may have piqued many people's curiosity. How can a company flush with cash and can borrow any amount (billions) anytime could fail? Well, this may be in line with your thinking. People have seen since its inception - I mean after its name was changed in 1999 from Trengganu Investment Authority (TIA) to the present - it hasn't done any business! I have used present tense deliberately. It hasn't done any business yet. I mean if you are in business you need to make profit or find ways to make profit. Or close shop. Oh, I had heard about their filings of tax returns and hiring of a couple of internationally known auditors to sign off on their balance sheets; but these concerned only the company's borrowings and interests to be paid. Two massive bonds were issued to the tune of $7 billions. To buy up power plants. Again I want to say if you are in business to make money even investing in independent Power Plants, it should be done with the view to making a profit. The decision may be long term or short term, it doesn't matter, it has to make money, or no deal. May be they have done the right thing. Maybe luck was not on their side. Still, the amount is staggering. I didn't know having or managing so much money can be a problem! But many - especially the Malays - have not given up hope yet. Yes, may be the durians are just ripening; may be they need time and may fall soon!

Malaysia's Vision 2020

Malaysia is supposed to be on its way to becoming a developed nation, by the year 2020. Will she make it (in less than five years -tick-tuck, tick-tuck)? There is no doubt the year 2020 is coming whether the country is ready or not, and if that will be the only requirement then Malaysia will attain that developed nation status on schedule. There is a question, though, Will Malaysia, or Malaysians, for that matter, be ready for that status as far as their affluence, quality of life's concern? Currently Malaysia's GNI per capita stood at US$10060. According to the World Bank high income economies are those with GNI per capita of US$12,745. And until Malaysians earn much more to be there, the developed nation status may not be achieved even by the year 2020. The futility of declaring a country a high income country when it's not, achieves nothing. May be even counter-productive; it lulls the country into false sense of success and premature celebration. Don't forget China reportedly overtook Japan as the world's second largest economy, but in actual fact China's citizens' ca pita income is a fraction of the incomes of the Japanese who earn $37,000. Chinese incomes range from $13,000. China's gross domestic product, taken as a whole, may beat Japan's, but in term of quality of life, and GNI per capita income, the criteria for a developed nation status, China still has a lot of catching up to do. That's why China still qualifies as recipient of Japan's economic aid meant for developing countries. Comparing with the Chinese per capita domestic product, Malaysia is even worse off. Unless the government bucks up and rushes to create more wealth for its citizens, the Vision 2020 dream may remain just that ..a dream.

These talks about mistakes of leaving behind 85b worth of state-of-the-art equipment which they claimed would not be deadly weapons to be deployed against the US in the future as some of them had been spoiled by the army they claimed, were a feeble attempt to justify the biggest blunder of the superpower under Biden in history.
Let get this straight - it was not a mistake, not at all, it was planned, or Biden caved to the Talibans' threats. Or Both.
Here's a thing, Joe Biden was once a failed politician - he was widely known as a leader who accomplished nothing for 45 years - until he was rescued by being roped in as Obama's vice-president. It perked up his dwindling fortune a bit, but nothing more. He alongside Obama served out the two terms together in the White House, and was on the way to be obliterated - thrown under the bus, thrown away like used soiled tissue papers, if you will - by Obama had Hillary Clinton had better luck against Donald Trump in 2016; so that he could use her first term as his third (which doesn't exist under US law)..to bring back the glories of his ancestors' religion (Islam) which Obama endlessly vowed to do, and which Biden just did for him with an "extraordinary success" in Afghanistan (where else for these things?) according to his own words!
You know why Biden threw the Southern border (wide) open? He fulfilled (another of) Obama's wishes!
There are numerous Obama wishes detrimental to the US which Biden has to implement and which he and his Democratic Party have set in motion plans or strategies that once done and dusted America will never be the same again but be according to Obama's desire (To take away the riches and status symbol that have been associated with white Americans and make them as poor as his African-American brothers and sisters (a big fall in fortune if you know what I mean), and which compels Whites including those even in his Democratic Party, to grovel at his feet!
Biden is not a president of the world's sole superpower (for crying out loud) but just a minion of Obama! Checked.
Obama is the most powerful medicineman from the African continent having zapped power from his ancestors - most Whites, especially those from the Democratic Party are compelled by this Illinois senator, and would readily give their life and life long loyalty to him no less. Checked.
Obama is like God to them Democrats - his desires are their commands - ready to do his bidding.In our frustrations we tend to point fingers. "All these shenaigans wouldn't have happeneded if the American people would just let Biden continue with his pastime of smelling women's hairs and touching children. Not that these activities came to halt as soon as he's declared president-elec but may be even become more blatant as parents would balk at even thought of chiding him at all.
That's why democracy - electing people to lead - should be untainted and the process above board; so that a person who is not in command of his faculties like Biden could not slip through. He didn't. He was parachuted in by his handlers such as the state apparatuses of both sides of the aisle; the anti-Trump media and talk-show hosts; the Big Text entities who protected Hunter Biden by keepingg news of his and his father's corruption scandals under wraps during the entire campaign period of the 2020 election; almost the entire government agencies including the judiciary who worked in unison for one goal - made Biden president. And America plunged into the abyss or on the way! Checked. Do you wish to know more?
Biden nowhere near qualifies to be president of the most important and powerful nation on earth and yet he's there right now dictating to everyone as if America belongs to his father! And we cannot put the blame on the American people for voting in a wrong man. He didn't win the election but stole it from incumbent President Donald Trump. He's indeed a wrecking ball tied to nearby crane to smash everything this great nation owns or offers to smithereens. He's in cahoots with his 'former' boss Obama , who I repeat, and had been alluding to in all my articles, wanted to shrink this strongest nation on earth to a third world country status, and low-hanging fruit ripe for conquest by his jihadists - to set a new world order following in the footsteps of Chairman Mao of China's 'cultural revolution' fame! Biden would follow Mao's playbook, mark my words, and had, in fact, already begun, and millions will suffer unless someone strong enough to stop him and his handlers Madam Nancy Pelosi and her right-hand man Chuck Schumer, steps forward! And time is the essence here. Right now the Democrats are working round the clock to get things done to win more and more power until absolute power is in their hands (they won't rest). Checked. If someone to issue a clarion call for action to put a stop to all these madness perpetrated by the Democrats now it's time, and all Americans must respond or they would end up becoming citizens of a Banana Republic of America! Checked.

What Has Become of The American Idol?
Before, since its inception, I used to be attracted to the show and ordinarily wouldn't want to miss the show for anything. But that was in the past (when the show lived up to its billing as the most exciting show in America). Nowadays I don't care if I watch it or miss it. It's not that important any more. There is little feel-good thing to look forward to any more. Poor song choices plagued many contestants in the season 11th were the order of the days (nights), which inevitably led to poor performances. And then the fact that most, if not all, of the current crop of Idol hopefuls are not exactly eye candys adds to the problem. Now sometimes the dreariness of the show forces me to stop watching midway. For me, now the American Idol is just another show on TV.
If I have better things to do, I skip the show altogether.
The American Idol had certainly come a long way. It started eleven years ago, and it can be said that it was the best TV show ever. The interest and hype in the show never evaporated as predicted; and continued to attract talented kids for years, until after the departure of the man who so mattered to the show: the unreplaceable Simon Phillip Cowell.
Could the present malaise be due to Simon's absence?
By looking at the present strength of both sides - Cowell's when he was not with American Idol, compared with American Idol's (strength) in the good old days when they were together, most will agree that Simon added value to the show and the American Idol, to Simon Cowell. But nothing lasts forever.
It isn't easy to predict if the American Idol will continue to dominate the music TV shows or join the likes of Dallas, or the-soon-to-end-its-final-season Desperate Housewives.
But with the present malaise of poor vocals, lack of talents and concert-worthy stage presence, endless poor song choices and all, and not to mention the Idol hopefuls themselves, things don't look that rosy right now.
It's inevitable that one of the present finalists will be crowned the Season 11th Idol. But whether the eventual winner will retain or diminish the show's waning prestige remains to be seen.
I still watch the show, sometimes. I am still a fan of the American Idol, especially with Ryan Seacrest as the host. He's really unreplaceable. The guy's rare, extraoridinary, indispensable to the American Idol (like Simon Cowell was). But for the last few months the deariness of the show took its toll on me; so this week I missed the show, again.
I can't wait for this Season 11th to end; so that we can have a new show and hopefully, new and better crop of singers.
Sometimes I wonder how come the American Idol failed to attract those kinds of fresh-faced, talented, cute kids like before anymore.
I am aware that the judges have also reivented themselves completely.
Unlike during the show's season 10th, when the three judges, the same judges, notably Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson, raised the bar of excellence so high that the few who could survive to the last three were rightfully proud of their achievement.
Among the three finalists (Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery), Haley was awesome but was hampered by too much criticism from Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson. Hardly a praise emanated from the two judges despite Haley's spectacular stage presence and prancing and Randy Jackson's comment that she really could sing.
I could only watch in helplessness, and prayed that they would cease their onslaught on the poor girl.
And they did.
Later Lopez and Jackson, to their credit, did realise they went too far, alright, and actually tried to undo the damage (by pouring praises on Haley's performance but)...it was too late. The judges's comments had been seen and noted too often and when it's time to vote, Americans used the endless criticisms from the two judges as the cue to boot out Haley from the Season 10th.
Probably due to that episode, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson nowadays couldn't be friendlier and kinder in their jobs, heaping endless praises on any contestant who could finish his or her song!

Was Haley misunderstood?
Didn't Haley earn her free car from Ford Motor or GM too? It's never too late.

I couldn't agree more. Haley finished at the bottom three not once or twice, which would have finished off other lesser mortals, but four times; yet she emerged unscathed. She is truly a singer of a rare talent. During the height of the competition, many were worried about her song choices which were difficult but she took them in strides. She proved she was born to sing. A singer who can only handle certain songs can be a singer but not kick-as concert performer. For Haley, she can handle anything thrown at her. She's an all round singer and performer.

She has stage presence (which is part and parcel of being a star, or want to become a kick-*** performer) and she's gorgeous, ever ready to give you that broad and the sincerest of any smiles, and what a talent. But let's face it, there were only enough room for two that night, and Haley got the ax. Poor Haley. She went the way and manner James Durbin went -- judges' comments. But that's where the similarity ended. Haley paid the price due to too many negative comments, while James lost out because of the opposite reason. The two judges' open rooting for him did (him) more harm than good -- it put off some of the nation-wide voters.

Why Haley Reinhart was booted out of American Idol?
As American Idol Competition inched towards the finale, one notable absentee would be missed. Haley Reinhart.
Haley thought she as much as thought she had every thing looking promising for herself for that coveted crown; she sang her heart out every time she’s called upon to, and every time she finished her songs and heard the screams and applause of approvals from the audience she felt more and more confident that she was on her way. Amazingly she felt right at home on stage, as if she belonged there, and she vowed, win or lose, that’s where she wanted to be. She wanted to be a star, whatever it takes.
However, she also realized that the other two contestants were dreaming of the same thing and they were good, too.
Although she’s doing every thing she possibly could to stay in the competition, which was getting tighter and tighter as they‘re heading to the finale, Haley hoped her broad and captivating smiles would see her through to the finale. They didn’t. And every time Jennifer Lopez or Randy Jackson, or both, took her to task over poor song choices (thank God, not her vocals), her heart sank. She realized the danger of too many criticisms from the judges. While at the tail end of the competition, it was the nation-wide voting which determined who continued to have a shot at the title, she didn’t dismiss the judges' comments as having no effect on her overall chance. They did, unfortunately. She had landed herself in the bottom three more than once and she could not rule out it was not due to the two judges’ remarks.
Even both Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson themselves seemed to realize what happened (they might have gone too far in criticizing Haley) and, to their credit, tried to minimize, if not undo, the damage to the poor girl, but it was too late, to no avail, if you will. Haley was booted out! Look, the nation-wide voters, while they thought the world of Reinhart’s singing prowess, still had two equally good singers to choose from and that’s all they needed. They didn’t relish cutting short Haley’s amazing journey towards the American Idol’s (season 10) crown, but they’d a job to do, and was looking forward to finishing it, with or without Haley. There were only two places in the finale. Somebody out of the three would have to go home and, based on the judges’ (Lopez and Jackson) frequent, unfavorable remarks, the nation-wide voters' task was made easier; they decided it should be Haley.
Poor Haley, she gave her all; but still fell short. Like James Durbin who assigned blames for his defeat, Haley also felt like assigning blames, too, but apparently she was too nice to bring herself to blame others for her own failure. She did the right thing. She told herself she alone was responsible for her being booted out; she fluffed.
To Haley, I want to offer this advice: "Keep doing what you do best. You’re a star, whether you're American Idol or not. You have proven you have what it takes by reaching the last three round. Many people said you have what they call stage presence, and I agree. To be a star you need a total package; singing, prancing on stage and so on. You seemed to have these under your belt. Only a blind man can't see that in you: broadest, captivating smile that will light up anyone's spirit; gorgeous looks, and what a talent.
As far as I am concerned, your American Idol contest participation was just a start…a stepping stone, I hope, to great things to come – such as lucrative contracts and slew of albums to your name, not to mention the #1 spot on the chart, who knows!
